Senior Living 102
I never had that great opportunity to stay home with my
children when they were babies or toddlers. As a parent of two daughters, I
stayed home with my children until they were three months old and then I had to
return to work. I was fortunate to have family members such as; my sister and a
cousin watch my children once I returned to work.
Now I am 60 plus years old and I am babysitting my 14
month old granddaughter. This is new to me because I stay home each week day
with her. She is adorable and I love her very much. But, I must confess that it
is hard staying home and not bringing in the income I am use to having. Being
on a fixed income and babysitting seems hard at times. Her father and mother
will be entering her into daycare after she starts speaking well and is fully potty
trained. I also have three other grandchildren:
grandsons are 19 and 21 years old; my granddaughter is 24 years old.
